Launch of 2020 regional GEM Report in the Caribbean

SUMMA, KIX LAC Hub, GEM Report, OREALC/UNESCO Santiago and UNESCO Cluster Office for the Caribbean invite you to the presentation in the Caribbean of the 2020 Global Education Monitoring (GEM) Report for Latin America and the Caribbean.

Launched in November 2020, the 2020 regional GEM Report recognizes the variety of contexts and challenges that countries in Latin America and the Caribbean must address in their efforts to achieve inclusive education. It considers the groups at risk of being excluded from education and the barriers facing individual learners, especially when multiple characteristics intersect. The Report provides policy makers with 10 recommendations to ensure that the children and youth across the region can flourish and develop within education systems that recognize the value and richness of diversity for more just and sustainable societies.

The high-level launch of the GEM Report 2020 in the Caribbean, organized jointly by the GEM Report and SUMMA, will include a presentation of the key findings and recommendations of the Report for the English and Dutch speaking Caribbean countries. The objective of the event is to engage the Caribbean SIDS in informed policy dialogue through the data on inclusion in education in the region from the regional report and the PEER profiles.
