The Regional Policy Dialogue – IDB: Building bridges
June 2, 2016The Regional Policy Dialogue (RPD) is one of the main instruments available to the IDB for promoting the exchange of experience and knowledge between high level officials in Latin America and the Caribbean and experts in key development areas.
The Education Network, made up by public figures responsible for the design of education policies in Latin America and the Caribbean, has the objective of creating a space for countries to share experiences, learn about practices from outside the region, review studies regarding worldwide advances in education policy and explore ideas of regional cooperation regarding matters related to the improvement of education within the region.
This event will take place at the headquarters of the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington D.C., and its agenda will include the participation of Julie Katzman – Executive Vice President of the Inter-American Development Bank, Emiliana Vegas – Chief of the Education Division of the IDB, Susan Segal – President and CEO of the Americas Society/Council of the Americas; Carlos Rodriguez Pastor – President of the Interbank Group, Moisés Naím – Author of the best seller “The End of Power”; Youngsuk Chi – President of Elsevier/RELX Group; Héctor Salazar – Manager of the Social Sector of the IDB, and several government authorities from Latin America and the Caribbean.
Also, participating in the event will be Ana María Raad, Manager of the Education Innovation Center of Fundación Chile, and Javier González, Executive Director of SUMMA.
